Angels Used Our Smoke Alarm

I cleanse our house in the name of Jesus regularly. The worship music is turned up as I am singing along lifting my hands and praising God, inviting his presence to come in strong! Then I use my Holy water and / or anointing oil while I pray in authority over our house, commanding if there is anything not of God to leave and commanding angels to be placed on assignment here. I truly believe that creating and maintaining a Godly atmosphere is so important with all the evil out in the world. We know that the fight is spiritual and constant; evil doesn’t rest and neither should we. You can kind of relate it to an oil change for a vehicle. Just because there is already oil in the car doesn’t mean new oil is necessary for it to run well, right? You have to ensure there is oil in the car, that the oil is clean and changed out at the appropriate time otherwise your car will not run as it should; or worst case scenario your engine can seize if it runs out of oil. The same can also be said for us believers. We should always have that fresh Holy Spirit Oil and we should also protect our home with it too! I mean, why would you not want to be charged up in the Holy Spirit and have angels fighting with you!! We need to be vigilant, be ready and have oil for our lamps like the Parable of the ten virgins.

In March 2021 we moved from CA to TN completely led by God (an amazing story for another time). We rented for about a year while we were waiting for our home to be built. One of the features on our home is that all of the smoke alarms in the house are all connected to each other. So rather than each one working independently of one another, they are all interconnected and function as an interlinked system. This means that when one of them goes off the rest of them follow suit.

One night as I was sleeping and having a peaceful dream, that peaceful dream was interrupted. All of a sudden as I was dreaming I looked up and saw what was an evil presence starting to form. At that exact moment, as it attempted to enter into my dream the smoke alarm went off in our room and woke us immediately! It was three very loud beeps followed by the verbal word “Fire.” We heard, BEEP, BEEP, BEEF, FIRE!!!! I woke up in shock trying to process what was happening as I was not yet coherent and was somewhat dazed while thinking about how this is playing out. Cameron jumped out of bed and cleared the house to make sure there was nothing wrong. The house was completely fine. No fire, no smoke, nothing and none of the other alarms went off like they should have since they are all interlinked. He came back to our room and said everything was fine and how weird it was that the alarm went off like that. I just wanted to go back to sleep so I didn’t tell him why it went off or about the dream that started yet, I figured I would wait until the morning.

That morning, I told him about the dream and how at the exact moment the evil presence attempted to crash my peaceful dream, the alarm went off. I explained to him that the angels we put on assignment over our house to protect us used the alarm to wake us so that nothing could touch me in my dream. They used the word “FIRE” as in the fire of God as they were fighting that evil off with the fire of God for it to never return! “No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:10-11).” When our house was being built, we wrote different scriptures over all the beams in the house. Above each door to outside, each window, each entry way to another room, etc. Above the beam for the front door of our house we wrote the entire passage of Psalm 91 and we wrote it in red as in Passover knowing that evil, plagues, sickness would have option but to passover our home by the Word of God.

We didn’t change out the batteries on the alarm for about 2 weeks; at which point we changed all the batteries in all the alarms. Anyone who has ever had a battery go bad in a smoke alarm knows that once that battery goes bad, the alarm doesn’t stop until that battery is changed. You can’t even take the battery out and leave it out as the alarm will still go off. The fact that the alarm only went off that one time at that exact moment when I needed to be woken up so that the angels could fight that off and it couldn’t touch me, and the fact that none of the other alarms went off, as well as it not going off ever again even without the batteries being changed is proof that this was a God thing. God will always protect us! Just as God sent his angels to shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel, he will do the same for the lions in your life as well! So today, I want to encourage you to stand firm in your authority with He who lives within you. For He is greater than he who is in the world. Have faith that God will protect you, and always stand firm believing his truth! May your day be blessed and filled with the Spirit!
