Ask of Jesus

“Jesus knows what I need. I don't want to trouble Him by asking Him for something He knows I need, especially when there are greater needs than mine.” Sometimes people tend to think that they will bother God with their prayer request because He already has so much going on, and they don't want to add to His plate. Friends, Jesus cares about every need…big or small…and He wants you to come to Him with it! The enemy would like you to believe the lie that God is too busy or that your prayer request for Him is too small considering what others might need.

We had a lady at church one day come and ask for prayer for a headache. I commanded her headache to go in the name of Jesus and spoke healing and peace over her head. After prayer she left, and sent me a text later that day telling me that by the time she got to her car, her headache was completely gone! Glory to God! Some might think, it's just a headache, why should I ask of God to take that away when there are people worse off who need a huge miracle?! Why…because He is an all mighty God who cares about everything and is able to handle all at once! 

Jesus wants us to ask of Him and to partner with Him. He wants a relationship with you, for you to seek Him, talk to Him, ask of Him, sit with Him in His presence! He wants you to depend on Him and cast your cares, big or small, upon Him!

In Matthew 9:38, Jesus tells the disciples to pray for the Lord to send laborers into the harvest. Jesus could have just said, “let there be laborers in the harvest,” and it would be! However, instead He told the disciples to pray and ask for it!!!!

So friends, don't just think that God knows what you need yet not ask of Him. We see above, He wants us to ask!

James 4:2 says, “You do not have because you do not ask”

Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask and it shall be given to you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing”

So friends, spend time with Jesus, talk to Him about your needs. Ask, knock, seek, pray without ceasing to our all mighty God who loves you!
