Be Careful With Your Words

"But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Matthew 12:36‭-‬37 NKJV

This morning as I sang I Love You Lord and I lift my voice, I hear Matthew 12:36-37 and know The Holy Spirit has a message for His Church. What do you use your words for Body of Christ? Do you edify? Or are you using them for worldly things? Gossip, ungodly talk and ungodly jokes, things of this world that are dying and decaying and don't matter?  Or do you use your words to edify the Body of Christ? Do you use your words to strengthen Body of Christ? Do you not know your words are powerful? For He is the Word and He lives in you! What words are you letting out of your mouth? Choose Wisely.

"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

Ephesians 4:29‭-‬31 NKJV)."

"Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.

Psalms 34:13 NKJV)."

"If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

James 1:26 NKJV)."

"Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool. In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom.

Proverbs 10:18‭-‬21 NKJV)."

"A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Proverbs 15:4 NKJV)."

Jesus warns us against this. One foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom. You have to make a choice. You have to die to yourself and live for Christ. He is the Word, He formed the world with His Word! He lives in us (Truly saved believers)!!!!! So, if he who lives in us, is the Word and the Word forms and creates, what do you think your words do when they come out given the Holy Spirit lives inside you? Heed his warning Church.
