Jesus Found My Diamond

God is such an infinite, amazing, all powerful God! There is nothing that is too big and nothing that is too small for him, he cares about each one of our needs. It is written, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures (James 4:2).” I know a lot of people who have said, I don't want to bother God with this when there are so many more important things for him to tend to. Many years ago I also used to think the same thing! The reality though is that he is such an infinite God and he is omnipresent in all over all the time! He cares about all of our needs big or small, no matter what else is going on! He wants to hear from us he wants that intimacy of us reaching out to him and talking to him. God hears your prayer at the same time he hears everybody else's and he will answer them all at the same time! It is so amazing and so beautiful! I love the saying a day without prayer is a day without power. I also feel like it should be a moment without prayer is a moment without power! We need to talk to God as much as we can, as often as we can, about everything! Of course, there is the other side to this, where by God is not a genie there to grant wishes and we are not going to have unbiblical prayers answered either. When we pray Biblical prayers and ask of our Father, he is faithful to answer!

Shortly after Cameron and I got engaged, I went to the grocery store to get a bundle of firewood. The firewood that they had came in the bundle that is wrapped in the netting. I selected one of those bundles and went to the self checkout to complete my transaction. I scanned the wood and put it to the side as I went to grab my card and pay. As I took my wallet out and reached for my card, I noticed the diamond was out of my engagement ring! I immediately felt a Panic come upon me as I thought holy cow how did I lose my diamond! That I still remorse come over me thinking how hard Cameron worked to buy this for me, and within just a few days I lost the diamond! I put my wallet away and I looked all around the check stand. On the top, I got on the floor and was looking on the floor around the check stand, I searched my purse, I looked all around in the firewood. It was nowhere to be found!

I knew I had to retrace my steps, and I didn't want anybody else to use that check stand while I was looking for my diamond. So I went over to the cashier that monitors the self checkout and I told her what had happened and I asked her if she can just stay with that register while I went from my car and retraced my steps. She got a little bit frantic and of course agreed to stay over there while I went and retraced my steps. I walked out to my car and I prayed and ask God to please bring back what was lost and show me where that diamond is. I then retraced all of my steps looking all over on the ground as I slowly walked. I did not find it anywhere. I went back to the checkout stand as the cashier had just gotten some scissors and was about to cut the netting open so that we can look through the firewood. Even though I had already searched the ground around the checkout stand, I felt the need to do it one more time. So I got on my hands and knees and lo and behold, there was my diamond right there on the floor! I picked it up and showed the cashier and the look of surprise on her face cannot be explained when I said look here it is! She could not believe that I found the diamond! The reality though is I did not find the diamond Jesus did; I asked our heavenly father to help me and guide me, and he absolutely did! I rejoiced just like the woman with the parable of the lost coin did, as I told Cameron what happened and how the diamond was found!

God is truly there for us in all circumstances. He is such an amazing father and he wants the interaction with us. He knows what we need before we come to him and ask, but he wants us to come to him and ask! He wants to hear from us! We serve an amazing father, and I want to encourage you today that whatever it is that you are needing, always go to him in prayer! He is waiting to hear from you!
