Spend Time With The Father

When you spend one-on-one time with your spouse, with your children, with your friends, you connect with them more and more. You grow with each other, you do life together, you lift each other up, you enjoy the presence of each other and are blessed by them, as you also bless them. The way to have a good solid relationship with them is to spend time with them to pour into them. Sometimes you will even see you get to know them so well that you know what they are thinking, you're able to finish their sentences, you know when something is wrong and something is off, on their birthdays and on Christmas you know the perfect gift to give them because you know them inside and out. If they just existed and you knew they existed but you spent no time with them you did not talk to them how would that relationship evolve? Would you truly know them, would you truly continue to grow that bond and love for them? You would not.

So how do you grow your relationship with our Heavenly Father? Do you grow that relationship with Him by knowing He exists and letting that be the end of it without spending time with Him? Do you expect to constantly hear from Him when he doesn't hear from you? Do you expect to know Him and His heart when you're not spending time in His word and in His presence? The word says you cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve God and the world. So you must make a choice and the more you choose to be in his presence and of the things that make Him happy, the more you get to know Him, then the more you will feel him, the more you will hear from him. So I challenge you to start cutting out things of the world. Start replacing those things with time with the Lord and watch how your life changes!
