The first time I met brother James, he gave me a word from the Lord. I'm not going to share that word except to say let the Lord said what I went through in the past has equipped me for now. I knew this word was from the Lord. James didn't know anything about me or what I went through in my childhood. He had no idea how it forged me and equipped me for who I am today.
The oil comes from the crushing and the pressing. God forges through the fire. We need to see past the trials that we are going through and see what God is doing in it.
We are clay in the Potter's hands. Let him mold you and equip you for what is ahead.
God equipped me to fight, He gave me boldness. That came through the pressing in my childhood.
An example. I was probably about 11 years old, And I was in my twin brothers room and we were playing video games. My mom's boyfriend at the time, who lived with us, came in the room violently and tried to come after my brothers. I am the oldest and the protector. I quickly told them to get under the bed and I ate the video game system out of the wall and started swinging it at her boyfriend. Now remember I am an 11-year-old girl, I was very petite but fearless. I charged after him, He was a taller and larger guy. But I wasn't afraid. I was going to protect my brothers at all cost and nobody was going to harm them on my watch. After charging him, he left the room and I locked the door. He did not come back. There are many examples like this.
But now, God uses that same spirit of boldness and fearlessness that he forged me in the fire with, to now fight in the spiritual realm against the enemy for his kingdom glory. To do the work of the Holy Spirit, to fight back against the enemy and set the captives free. In all circumstances, God is always good and gets all the glory.
