In my dream last night, I saw an eagle.  What is God saying about it?  I want to share this dream with you, and hope you will join in prayer.

In my dream last night a Godly woman who I know is filled with the Holy Spirit and completely consecrated to him was reading the Bible out loud and she had such a sense of happiness joy strength and peace about her as she was reading. As I was listening to her read I noticed her pastor was there as well. There was such a sense of peace and happiness in the room as she read the word of God. She was reading 2 Corinthians chapter 4. Let's read that together.

2 Corinthians 4 (NKJV):

The Light of Christ’s Gospel

Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Cast Down but Unconquered

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.

13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, 14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

Seeing the Invisible

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

After the reading of the word of God I was taken to a battle scene. After that, I was in a building and I was looking out of the window. A beautiful Majestic eagle was flying and it had a black feathered animal in its talons as it landed on the roof over me, I watched it fly over with this black feathered animal in its claws. Once it was on the roof I could not see the eagle anymore, but I saw a seagull flying waiting for an opportunity to steal what the eagle had, but the seagull was not able to.

The eagle is the bird of our country, a sign of Hope a sign of freedom. A seagull on the other hand is a scavenger and is always looking for a way to steal scraps.

When I woke this morning I read 2 Corinthians 4, and this is what stood out to me in relation to it connecting to this dream.

Verse one says we have this ministry, we received mercy, do not lose heart. So in this dream the Holy Spirit is saying, children of God we are ministers of the Gospel and we have received Mercy through Jesus. No matter what the natural world looks like do not lose heart and persevere always in prayer. Then he is saying to us with the rest of the passage that we, children of God, have renounced send that was in darkness and we see the light and truth of God. Those who have not, the spirit of the age has them under a veil and blinded and they do not believe the gospel of Christ, therefore they are evil. We have the power of the Holy Spirit living in us and although we are hard pressed we are not crushed. Although we are perplexed we do not despair. Although we are persecuted we are not forsaken. Although we are struck down we are not destroyed. Then he goes on to speak of faith. He says I believed therefore I spoke, we also believe and therefore speak knowing that he who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus and present us with you and also says about giving thanks and glory to God. He then goes on to say do not lose heart are Affliction is for but a moment and that Affliction is working for us for a far more exceedingly Eternal weight of glory.

The house that I was in, that is the temple of God. We reside in that temple, our soul with the Holy Spirit. The window is our eyes seeing out into the world. The eagle was defeating evil while the seagull was hovering around trying to steal what he could from the eagle. But we have the power of the Holy Spirit and he who lives in us is greater than he who lives in the world. He sends his angels to guard us and guide us. God hears our prayers and he answers. The prayer of the righteous much, and we know that his word says if we humble ourselves, repent, turn from our ways he will here are prayer and heal our land.

So that eagle, representing our country that was formed on Christianity has the ability to defeat evil if God's people will arise and no longer be silent but be feverant in prayer standing for righteousness, fighting back against evil in the spiritual Realm. If we stand in prayer the eagle will prevail because of the power of the Holy Spirit. If we stay quiet, do not stand for righteousness, do not pray and fight in the spiritual realm, then that seagull can come in because there's no resistance and can steal whatever it is that we are not fighting to protect.

So my fellow christians, brothers and sisters, I urge you to stand strong in prayer for this country. Stand for righteousness, fast and pray. Ask God to intervene and save us from the evil that is trying to overtake!!
